Isolde Skills Analysis

Isolde is a rare Invoker from Avalon who excels at healing, buffing, and boosting your team’s turn meter. She’s a total team enabler, especially for defensive or sustain-heavy lineups.

  • Passive Utility: Her passive heals all allies whenever a Defender on your team is attacked, making her awesome for keeping the squad healthy during drawn-out fights—she truly shines if you have multiple tanky Defenders.

  • Basic: Her basic not only deals some damage but also places Mend on the lowest HP ally. This is extra healing on tap and scales nicely into endurance battles.

  • Core: Her core skill delivers DEF Up I to all allies and gives a 10% turn meter boost. This ensures your squad gets to take more actions and stay tanky at key moments.

  • Ultimate: Isolde’s Ultimate removes a debuff from every ally, boosts their turn meter by 15%, and even tosses on a 75% chance Charm vs. Tristain if he’s the enemy—which can completely disrupt enemy plans. Using this at the right time can flip a battle, especially against heavy debuff teams.

In short: she’s not a raw damage dealer—she’s the backbone of teams that love to stay alive and keep rolling.

Isolde Gear Guide

Given her invoker and support role, optimize Isolde with gear that amplifies speed, healing, and survivability:

  • Primary Stat Focus: Speed (for more frequent healing and buffs), HP% (to improve healing and survivability), Resistance (to avoid disables and debuffs), Defense%.

  • Substat Priorities: Speed, HP%, Resistance, Defense% — avoid offensive stats as Isolde doesn’t scale well with attack-based effects.

  • Gear Set Bonus: Cloth gear (Invoker type) grants outgoing healing and turn meter boosts per attuned piece, further enhancing her role as a support specialist.

Isolde Synergy Heroes

Isolde works wonders with heroes that:

  • Draw attacks to themselves (Defenders)
  • Amplify buffs or turn meter gains
  • Benefit from Mend or cleanse effects

Pair Isolde with these heroes for maximum strategic advantage:

  • Tristain: This Defender has multiple abilities that synergize directly with Isolde. When both are on the same team, Tristain transfers all debuffs from Isolde to himself, making the pair extremely hard to shut down via debuffing. Additionally, Tristain provides extra shield and Radiance buffs to Isolde, reinforcing her survivability and team protection.

  • Brynhild: Brynhild’s wide-area defensive capabilities fortify team durability. With frequent Radiance buffs and the ability to punish attackers, she buys Isolde time to sustain and cleanse the team, ensuring your core stays operational deep into long fights.

  • Any Turn Meter Manipulator (ex: Aphrodite,  Odin) – Pair her with TM boosters like Aphrodite or Odin. Isolde’s kit already helps your team take more turns, and combining with another TM hero makes your lineup extremely snappy—letting you outpace and out-value slower squads.

How to Counter Isolde in Godforge

Isolde can be super annoying in stall comps, but she’s not invincible. Here are practical ways to put her in her place:

  • Apply Skill Blocks/Silence: Deny her ability to cleanse or heal by blocking active skills. Disruptors like Odin or Skadi shine here.

  • Buff Prevention/Steal: Use heroes who can block buffs, steal them, or strip DEF Up/Mend from her team.

  • Heavy Burst Damage: Isolde’s healing relies on her taking turns and allies surviving between turns—overwhelming her team with fast, high burst (esp. AoE) can outpace her passive/active heals before they kick in.

  • Target Her Directly (If She’s Squishy): She usually builds for speed/HP, but with solid focus fire you can take her out before she can work her magic. Anti-healer debuffs (like Heal Block or Unhealable) cut her value hard too.
