Terrormaton Inferno difficulty is most hardest stage in this mode,This guide explains how to clear and farm the Inferno Terrormaton fight efficiently, progressing from first clear to safe and then fast farming. For Basic Terrormaton Guide we have written a easy to read guide.
Terrormaton begins with a 3 turn immunity and reduces the effectiveness of Turn Meter-effects by 60%. One hand will Turn Meter the boss and purify a debuff, the other will attack for significant damage. Also deals 200% damage to Blue units.
First Clear
Your first Terror clear will depend so much on what you have pulled and what you have invested.
DPS
Top picks: Khloros (invested), Fangus (Crit or Effect Accuracy)
Note: I do NOT recommend doing two turns for first Inferno clear. Typically doing comp that works in about 20 turns is much easier. I have the tools to accomplish this at this stage.
Key focus: Survival and Single Target damage
Stripper
Inferno Terrormaton will need a stripper to consistently remove immunity to allow debuffing; typically mandatory.
Top picks: Holden, Mia, Mizuki, Kazumi
There are other viable strippers such as Heinrich and Veronica however I once again do not recommend ‘nuking’ them as they are advanced units needing high investment and typically accessories.
I warn you, do not invest in them expecting them to unlock the clear.
Buffer
For buffers you are looking for SPD as always and any other utility to help you get his HP to 0 before yours.
Top picks: Freya, Kazumi, Cach the Guard, Lily, Doki Doki, Dorothy the Wisher
Note: Do not get baited by Beyonita being everywhere in the rankings. She is a great buffer but I would not recommend her for your first clear. She supports an endless playstyle and is made for fast clears.
Healer
The damage Terrormaton puts out comes fast and across multiple units. You will need healers that can keep everyone safe and prevent surprise deaths.
Top picks: Valerian, Fuuja, Sania, Mia
Note: Mia will need more heal support than others as she has a hefty cooldown, despite her benefit being she can also dispel and push turn meter back.
Safe Farm
Not too much is going to change here besides adding a partner to reduce their turn, but maintain consistency.
DPS
Top picks: Khloros, Diting, Lillian, Yeil, Fangus (Crit, 2H pass), Dian (heavy investment)
Effective pairs: Diting + Anyone, Khloros + Yeil + Lillian; avoid poor attackers; Khloros still strong through DPS
Fangus: still useful to bring DPS. Fangus is still useful to bring exposure to this build.
Sustain
I still would not recommend Heinrich/Veronica at this stage. It is neither an investment test though. Neither can reach this in smooth investment requirements as you plan to progress elsewhere.
Get both stones to the units you plan with the combined marks.
Watch out for the boss making the wrong decision and hitting wrong targets.
Top picks: Holden, Mia, Mizuki, Kazumi
Buffer/Debuffer
You will now be replacing a buffer with a debuffer as they are more typically more efficient at increasing damage output through DEF- and vuln.
Top picks: Kloss is the premium choice because she also provides damage increase.
Solid picks: Neil, Dinah, Kazumi (she provides decent vuln)
If you are still dying swap back to a buffer.
Healer
As you are going down to one healer I would recommend going with the safer choices with more throughput.
Top picks: Valerian, Fuuja, Sania
Fast Farm
For fast clears you will hone in on units capable of putting enough damage to kill in 2 turns or less. You should not be relying on “hit in the 3rd clear” or because the boss purifies.
DPS
Top picks: Khloros, Diting, Lillian, Yeil, Hoqan
Disclaimer: These comps add an additional layer of RNG and investment. A single fast clear team can clear in around 60 seconds; multiple fast farm teams can clear in around 60 seconds. Some teams can do around 30 seconds. It is completely up to you.
Stripper
We can finally look into premium strippers (? like Heinrich or Dinah). These units have unique strengths like Artisans that bring 2 turns of barrier through Codex of Magic. There are 3+ Khloros comps that benefit from these, and even benefit without. Holden is another strong pick as he does strong damage and benefits Khloros which obviously suits this “kill quickly” plan.
Top picks: Heinrich, Veronica, Holden
Buffer/Debuffer
Nothing will really change here besides bringing a second unit that reduces incoming damage (Kloss). Buffs and debuffs remain the primary increase. DEF-, D- and vuln remain the primary GOP damage boosts along with stronger SPD thresholds, with 3 allowing for possibly 2 turns and 4 allowing 3 turns.
Top picks: Kloss is the premium choice because she can add damage and additional DPS increasing options.
Solid picks: Neil, Dinah
If you are still dying swap back to a buffer.
Requirements
Speed Requirement: Terrormaton’s speed check may seem lenient, but it’s deceptively complex. You only need 260+ SPD to cut in before the head acts, but this must be on your stripper unit — which is usually slower than supports — making it harder to hit and manage. Your stripper also has to act before your debuffers, forcing you not to slow those units down to maintain turn order. In the end, Terrormaton’s real stats check are damage output and survivability.
Shell Requirement: Artisan is one of the most valuable shells here, providing shields that protect vulnerable units and give healers time to respond. Artisan shields don’t stack, but for early clears I recommend using 1–3 Artisans. They can refresh or alternate shields, replacing them as soon as one breaks. If you’re running Holden, this should be his first choice since he benefits heavily from the free DEF scaling.
As you move into faster clears, Codex of Magic becomes more valuable, especially on units like Veronica, Heinrich, Kloss, and Dinah. The only core requirement is Swiftbrush 3; extra traits are just a bonus.
Special Considerations: When farming shells for this content, always aim for 3-trait shells, as they have higher base stats than 2-trait versions. Luckily, Nikomoa provides easy access to strong shells for this fight, such as Artisan, Gigabyte, and Whitefang. A 3-trait Codex of Magic is a fantastic long-term goal, but expect it once a grindy before your first drop — so don’t stress over it early.
